Real Madrid have reportedly urged UEFA to take action against Barcelona over the long-running Negreira case, with club president Florentino Pérez said to have submitted a legal dossier outlining concerns about the Catalan club's conduct during the period under investigation.
According to Spanish media reports, the dossier calls for severe sanctions, including the possibility of stripping Barcelona of titles won during the years linked to payments made to former refereeing official José María Enríquez Negreira. The reports also suggest Real Madrid wants UEFA to consider excluding Barcelona from European competitions.
The Negreira case centres on payments made by Barcelona to companies linked to Negreira, who served as vice-president of Spain's refereeing committee. Prosecutors in Spain have been investigating the matter, although no sporting authority has formally ruled that matches were manipulated.
Barcelona have consistently denied any wrongdoing, maintaining that the payments were for refereeing consultancy services and did not influence match officials. The club has previously described accusations of corruption as unfounded and has vowed to defend its position through legal channels.
UEFA has not announced any new sanctions against Barcelona, and no decision has been made regarding the club's domestic titles or participation in European competitions.
