As Malawi hip-hop fans were anticipating the response of Achina Gattah to Ace Jizzy’s ‘Dodi Dodi’ in which he hit at gattah with a bar that says, ” Achina Gattah akungophonya, bola asabulidwe”, Gattah has finally delivered his response as he has dropped a track titled, ‘Mpando’ in which he has lashed out at Ace Jizzy and Bee Jay lyricially.
However, in as much as the anticipation was high, music fans have expressed disappointment in Gatta’s diss response track. Much of hip-hop music fans took it to the social media where they stated that the song lack creativity unlike Dodi Dodi in which Ace Jizzy expressed his creativity in crafting lyrics and punch lines.
Furthermore, fans reacted that Ace Jizzy only dropped a bar about Gattah and yet Gattah has dropped a whole song dedicated to throwing jabs and Ace jizzy and the innocent Bee Jay, showing how the bar from Ace jizzy got him in his feelings.
In response, Ace Jizzy has posted the link to the ‘Mpando’ song while tagging the rapper with a caption, ” Nena moopa yehova, mwini wakewe nyimboyi ikukuwaza? ending the caption with a laughing emoji.
All in all, the Malawi Hip-hop industry has been brought back to life with this new feud between the two rappers from Blantyre and Lilongwe. it has been a while since the hip-hop fans enjoyed diss tracks which is considered the backbone of hip-hop world-wide.
This new diss, takes back the Malawi hip-hop fans to the old times of DareDevilz, Jolly Bro and Fredokiss beef with Tay Grin, Phyzo and many others but also to the days of late Martse’s beef with several artists including Fredokiss.
