Rapper Lil Nas X, whose real name is Montero Lamar Hill, is facing serious legal trouble after an unusual incident in Los Angeles last week.
Authorities say the 26-year-old artist was taken into custody on August 21, 2025, in the Studio City neighborhood after behaving erratically on Ventura Boulevard. Witnesses and police reports indicate he appeared disoriented, at times unclothed, and clashed with officers who tried to intervene.
Following the arrest, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office announced on Monday, August 25, that Hill is being charged with four felony counts: three for battery resulting in injury to a police officer and one for resisting an executive officer.
Police initially transported him to a hospital, suspecting a possible overdose, before he was booked into custody. He remained at the Van Nuys Jail over the weekend ahead of Monday’s court proceedings.
The charges mark a dramatic turn for the Grammy-winning performer, best known for his record-breaking single “Old Town Road.” As of now, neither Hill nor his representatives have publicly responded to the allegations.
If convicted, the rapper could face significant prison time, though the case is still in its early stages. His arraignment is scheduled for this week.
