A man has stirred controversy on social media after claiming he is the biological father of Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Asake , alleging that he gave the singer up for adoption years ago.
In a video circulating online, the man said he fathered the child when he was still very young and not financially stable. According to him, the difficult circumstances at the time forced him to give the baby away for adoption, a decision he now says he regrets.
“I was not responsible then. I was still very young and couldn’t take care of the child, so I gave him up for adoption,” the man reportedly said in the emotional clip.
He further claimed that the child he gave up eventually grew up to become the globally recognized Afrobeats star known today as Asake , whose real name is Ahmed Ololade.
