Britain’s King Charles III has revealed that his cancer treatment will be reduced in the new year, marking an important milestone in his recovery. The 77-year-old monarch shared the update in a recorded message supporting cancer awareness and early screening.
Buckingham Palace said the King is responding well to treatment and will move into a less intensive, precautionary phase of care. King Charles was diagnosed with cancer in February 2024, though the specific type has not been disclosed.
Using his personal experience, the King urged the public to prioritise early detection, regular health checks, and cancer screening, stressing their role in improving survival rates.
The announcement has been widely welcomed, with the reduction in treatment seen as a positive sign for the King’s health as he continues to carry out royal duties under medical guidance.
