She was Born and raised in Lilongwe, with home village being Khozapi,
Mpherembe in Mzimba Malawi.
Ellen Mtonga was musically inspired by her Mom at a young age, as they held musical practices every night before going to sleep.
” I have been singing in church ever since through the worship team and was doing backing vocals for other musicians.
I relocated to South Africa in 2012 and started recording my first album in 2019. My aim is to bring hope, healing, restoration, and victory declarations to the glory of God through music.
In 2022 I released the album called I’m Grateful which was recorded at Paps Production with most popular songs Yewo, Beautiful Jesus, I am blessed, and I am grateful ” – Ellen, who was nominated and won Best Stage Performance at the MYTUNE MASA AWARDS 2023 explained.
