Days after securing their return to champions league next season by winning the last match in the premier league against Nottingham Forest, the blues have now lifted their first silverware under their new ownership.

Enzo Maresca’s side were behind by a single goal in the first half but it was the young and talented Cole Palmer who inspired the blues into a comeback and secure a by far margin victory against Real Betis.
Palmer provided two brilliant assists within few minutes of the second half of the match. First, he provided Enzo Fernandez with a splendid cross that he scored with a close range header and another cross was presented to Nicolas Jackson who scored a near post goal with ease.

“I was sick of getting the ball and going backwards and sideways, i thought when i get the ball im going to go. The first one, there was a bit of space and i saw Enzo running at it so i put it over the top. The second one same again, i saw Jackson so i crossed.” Palmer said afterwards.
Upon lifting the Conference League Cup, Chelsea have become the first ever and currently the only club to have win each of the major European trophies; The Champions League, Europa League, Conference League, Super Cup and the defunct Cup winners Cup.
