Tanzanian singer Zuchu has confirmed that she has ended her relationship with Bongo Flava superstar Diamond Platnumz, bringing to a close one of East Africa's most high-profile celebrity romances.
The Sukari hitmaker announced the breakup through an emotional post on her Instagram Stories, saying that after six years together, she has chosen to prioritize herself and focus on healing, her health, and her music career.
In her message, Zuchu also wished Diamond Platnumz and his family well, signalling what appears to be an amicable end to their relationship.
The announcement comes just days after Diamond's close associate, Baba Levo, claimed that Zuchu was expecting a child, fuelling widespread speculation across social media. However, the singer did not comment on the pregnancy rumours in her statement.
Over the years, Zuchu and Diamond Platnumz have remained one of East Africa's most talked-about celebrity couples, with their relationship marked by several public breakups and reconciliations that kept fans guessing.
Signed to Diamond's WCB Wasafi record label, Zuchu has grown into one of Tanzania's leading female artists, producing a string of chart-topping hits and earning a strong following across the region.
With the latest announcement, fans are now left wondering whether this is the definitive end of the couple's relationship or simply another chapter in their long and closely watched love story.
