Husband of Late Gospel Singer Osinachi Sentenced to Death by Hanging Peter Nwachukwu, the husband of the late Nigerian gospel musician Osinachi Nwachukwu, has been sentenced to death by hanging by an FCT High Court in Abuja. The court found him guilty of culpable homicide relating to Osinachi’s death on April 8, 2022.   Throughout the trial, the prosecution presented 17 witnesses along with 25 documentary exhibits to establish the case against him. Besides the death sentence, Nwachukwu was also handed various prison terms and fines for other offenses, including spousal battery and cruelty to children.   It’s worth noting that earlier reports about his sentencing were previously debunked as false when he had only been charged and not yet convicted. However, with the recent court ruling, the case has now officially concluded.   This tragic event has drawn widespread public attention, shining a light on critical issues such as domestic violence and spousal abuse.
