South African music star Sho Madjozi has announced the release of the lead single from what she says will be her third and final album. The project, titled Limpopo Champions League Vol 2, follows her 2018 debut Limpopo Champions League, which cemented her status as a global icon.
In her tweet, Madjozi wrote, “Tomorrow I drop the lead single of what will be my third and final album. It’s been the craziest possible ride. I’m grateful for most of it.” The statement has sparked speculation that the award-winning artist may be stepping away from music.
Madjozi’s career has been a whirlwind of success, from her hit “John Cena” to winning a BET Award and performing on international stages. Known for blending Tsonga culture with modern sounds, her legacy as a trailblazer for African music is undeniable.
If this is indeed her final album, Limpopo Champions League Vol 2 promises to be a celebration of her journey and a fitting farewell to her fans.
