Atleast six students have been expelled from the Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS) following a disciplinary hearing.
According to the memorandum from the Dean of Students, the six students are out of 8 students who were under investigation of cheating and plagiarism during exams and the other 2 students received serious warnings.
Malawi University does not condone plagiarism as it promotes creativity and problem solving through it’s examinations and it ensures this practise is observed by all students in all programs.
This is not the first nor will it be the last time the University of Malawi has exercised a sweep out campaign to lazy students who are used to verbatim and cheating during exams.
Let this be a warning to all University of Malawi students and aspiring students that its only hardwork that pays and that there are no shortcuts to any thing in life.
