Copyrights Society of Malawi (COSOMA)has as of today awarded the creatives on the third call copyright funds that creatives applied to COSOMA to be using while implementing their different works of promoting various forms of art and culture.
The full list of the creatives that have been awarded funds this year is as follows;
Favoured Martha has been awarded K6,344,000.00 for being on the forefront in
taking Malawian Gospel Artists to International Exposure. Khuza Rampi for the renovation of Club 84 Entertainment has been awarded K7,826,800.00
Joyce Mhango Chavula the creator of
‘The Gunless Soldier’ a Malawian Movie has been awarded K7,000,000.00.
Kungoni Centre of Culture and Arts organisers of
Kungoni Cultural Festival have been awarded k4,000,000.00
Kukula Publishing has walk away with K6,000,000.00 for the publishing of
Lindsay’s Books.
Princess Chitsulo who operates a
Street Academy that empowers vulnerable children through Art has been awarded with K6,080,000.00
Zomba Arts Platform has banked K5,000,000.00 for the
Building Brighter Future creative. While Akometsi Limited banked k6,900,000.00 for the
Akometsi Tanzania Invasion 2024 creative.
Kaya Film Inco. for their
‘Nthano: Animated tales of Malawi’ creative has banked
K7,000,000.00. While The Festival Institute of
Girl Powered Extended Programme has been awarded K3,000,000.00
University of Malawi Department of Literacy Studies for its
‘Malawi Writing Better’ has been awarded K7,609,000.00.
MAREFU for their
Freedom July Art Festival has been awarded with
K4,650,000.00
