Angry vendors who were operating their businesses close to Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital in Blantyre has closed the main road in protest to Blantyre District Council who as of yesterday demolished their shops and business joints.
This development has caused chaos along the Chipembere Highway as vehicles and ambulances are failing to pass through as the road is blocked with burning tyres and huge stones.
Blantyre District Council are yet to comment on the development.
