Malawi’s Women National Football Team and Paris Saint-Germain’s striker Tabitha Chawinga has been nominated for the 2023 Cosafa Women’s Footballer of Year.
Tabitha will compete for the inaugural award against Zambian duo Barbara Banda and Rachael Kundananji.
The Malawian had a good year while playing for Inter Milan Women’s team where she made history after winning the Italian Golden Boot award with 23 goals in 21 matches.
Upon leaving Inter Milan she joined PSG Women’s team where she continues to make strides on her career as she is the leading goal scorer in French League with 17 goals. She has scored four goals in the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
Cosafa is set host the awards on April 19 in Durban, South Africa.
